Jerry Suhrstedt writes about how twilight photography adds a new dimension to real estate.

The light is a little softer with more red tones and it creates a spectacularly pleasant image.

Twilight photography of real estate and architectural structures has become increasingly popular because it really does put your home in its best possible light. Twilight images can make an average home sparkle in a captivating way, as the light from inside the home pours out onto the evening landscape, inviting friends and neighbors with a warm glow.

Selling homes is about selling a lifestyle, and twilight photography speaks of parties, and informal get-togethers, evenings lingering over conversations and laughter over drinks. It is no wonder that twilight photography is used in high-end real estate listings for promotional materials, website photos and marketing materials. (Of course it doesn’t hurt that twilight photos are great at hiding any small blemishes a home may have as well.)

If you want to have a stellar twilight photo taken of your home or other building, remember that landscape and exterior lighting goes a long way toward creating unbelievably charming images. Plus if you’re selling your home, these little extras like pathway lighting and architectural spot lights are affordable ways to drastically increase your curb appeal when potential buyers come to take a look at your home.
